Exhibition Opening Times

Wednesday, 27 October 2010: The International Stamp Exhibition will officially open at 09h30 and will close at 18h00.
Thursday, 28 October 2010: The exhibition will be open from 09h30 to 18h00.
Friday, 29 October 2010: The exhibition will be open from 09h30 to 18h00.
Saturday, 30 October 2010: The exhibition will be open from 09h30 to 17h00.
Sunday, 31 October 2010: The exhibition will be open from 09h30 to 15h00.

Philatelic Federation of South Africa Welcoming Function- Wednesday, 27 October 2010

This function will take place on Wednesday, 27 October 2010, in the form of a cocktail party at the Garden Court Hotel, Maude Street, Sandton, from 19h00 to 21h00. Attendance will be by invitation only and will include FIAP officials, members of the Jury, Commissioners, Organising Committee, Philatelic Dealers who have taken stands at the Exhibition, other invited dignitaries, and office bearers of the Philatelic Foundation and Federation of South Africa and their spouses. Dress is to be smart casual.

Chinese 2011 Reception Function – Thursday, 28th October 2010

This function will be held in the Grayston Southern Sun Hotel in Sandton. Attendance is by invitation only. Details to follow

Philatelic Federation of South Africa Congress – Friday, 29 October 2010

The PFSA Congress will be held in Board Room 3 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Registration will start at 08h00 for 09h00 and the Congress will commence at 09h00. Delegates should register with Jill Redmond, the secretary of the Philatelic Federation of South Africa. Contact details are landline (011) 917-5304 or pfsasec@mweb.co.za. The cost for luncheon and refreshments will be R130 per person.

FIAP Executive Committee Meeting - Friday, 29 October 2010

The FIAP EXCO meeting will be held in Board Room 4 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Details to follow.

Tour to Maropeng – Saturday, 30 October 2010

The organised tour to Maroteng in the Cradle of Humankind is by invitation only for members of the jury, commissioners, invited guests and their spouses and will depart from the Garden Court Hotel, Maude Street, Sandton at 08h30, returning during the afternoon after lunch.

Palmares Banquet – Saturday, 30 October 2010

The Palmares banquet will be held in the Ballroom at the Wanderers Club in Illovo (4 kilometres from the Sandton Convention Centre) on Saturday, 30 October 2010, commencing at 18h30 for 19h00. Entrance is by invitation or tickets may be purchased at R250 per person. The dress code is black tie/business formal lounge suite. Bus transport will be arranged from the Garden Court Hotel to and from the Wanderers Club. Details for the purchase of tickets will be advised in due course,

Luncheon for Members of the Royal Philatelic Society of London

A luncheon for members of the Royal Philatelic Society of London will be held on Sunday, 31 October 2010. Details will follow.
