The Johannesburg International Stamp show, as well as the Asian International Exhibition affiliated to FIAP, is going to delight seasoned sports and philatelists. Entries regarding applying for free tickets will close, entrants that are accepted should have all the stated requirements by the governing body.


The show will include entertainment programs for the young and old. The Joburg stamp show is adopting the international standard of operation and its bound to be a word class spectacular event. Nominated commissioners include Dave Morton of Western Cape, Vernon Mitchell of Eastern Cape. Dr Jim Findlay who is from Gauteng. From Zimbabwe, Dr Angus Pringle and Prof Gary Osthoff of Free State & Northern Cape.


A single frame exhibit shall comprise of sixteen pages, a five frame will equal a 5 by 16 = 80 pages and an 8 frame exhibits = 16 by 18 which will equal to 128 pages.Further information can be got from Regional Vice Presidents who will assist with logistics and getting exhibits to and from the exhibition. The PhilatelicFederation of South Africa was nominated by 5 South African Commissioners. The show is sponsored by the Philatelic Foundation of South African as well as the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP).

Drawn from 45 countries will join South African philatelists for over four days.The Sandton International Convention Centre is secured. It comprises of 5,800m2. The Post office of South Africa and other exhibits will be featured.


Countries that include India, Chinese, Bahrain, Taipei, China, Georgia, France, Great Britain, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia-Indonesia, Italy, Israel Japan, will participate. South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Sudan are the African countries that will take part. Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain, Qatar, Singapore, Macau, Sri Lanka, Korea, Saudi Arabia will also take part.Youths will have their own activation zone. Definitive stamps will also be launched by one of the exhibitions.Over 40 international and local dealers from the USA Europe and Australia, this will be a unique opportunity for trade and exchange opportunities.
